Maria MacNeil has been the part time bookkeeper for the Educational Leadership Consortium of Nova Scotia (ELCNS, formerly NSELC) since 2003. She has worked closely with the Executive Directors and the Administrative Assistants over the years. She handles the day-to-day bookkeeping needs as well as dealing with the accounting firm at year end.
Maria brings approximately 40 years of bookkeeping experience to the table.
After graduating from St Mary’s University with a business degree, Maria’s background has varied from management positions in Hospitality, Catering and Event planning, to owning her own business management company focusing on the policy and procedures and accounting needs for small to medium sized companies while living in Toronto. Being a Maritimer at heart, like so many that leave, she returned. Arriving back in 2002, Maria landed in the TV industry as a business affairs producer, though she continues to maintain bookkeeping clients including ELCNS.
