Sue Taylor-Foley is the Director of the Instructional Leadership Academy. Sue began this role in August 2021. She has held a variety of teaching and administrative positions within the education systems in Nova Scotia, Ontario and the United States.

In 2010, Sue moved from her position with the South Shore region to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. She was initially the Director of Learning Resources and Technology Services and in 2015 moved to the role of Executive Director of Education Innovation Programs and Services. In addition, Sue has taught online in the MEd program for St. Francis Xavier University.

Sue has been an active supporter of ELCNS through her work on the program committee both at the regional and department levels and through taking, facilitating and developing modules. Sue has also been active on many boards and committees both in education and in her community.  Sue has been a frequent presenter at conferences and on panels- provincially, nationally and internationally.  

Sue has a graduate certificate in Workplace Innovation from Royal Roads University, an MEd from Georgia College, numerous additional qualification courses from a variety of Ontario universities, a BEd from Queen’s University and a BA from McMaster University.
