Terry is an Instructional Leadership Academy consultant, Instructional Coaching Coordinator and an instructor. His involvement with the Educational Leadership Consortium of Nova Scotia began in 1995 as a writer, facilitator for ELCNS modules, workshops, Aspiring Leadership Program seminars and as the Executive Director (2014-2019).

He also taught in the Masters of Education program at Mount Saint Vincent University and has facilitated professional development sessions at local, provincial and national conferences on a wide variety of educational topics. He retired from the public school system in 2010 following a 33 year career. In addition to his classroom experience, he was a Department Head, a Vice Principal and for 16 years a Principal at both the junior and high school levels. Since his retirement he has been an educational consultant working with various Reginal Centres of Education and The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

During his years in administration he was the recipient of the Halifax Regional Administrators’ Association Distinguished Administrator Award, The Nova Scotia School Administrators’ Association Distinguished Administrator Award and in 2010 was recognized as one of Canada’s Outstanding Principals by The Learning Partnership.
